DbL - Designs by Liz

As a native of the borough of the Bronx, New York City, Liz was blessed to experience the many colors of the world from her “backyard”- the city- a multicolored, multicultural playground that would inspire her creativity forever. Having applied her imaginative problem-solving to many careers (elementary teacher, homemaker, pre-school administrator and video production coordinator), she has found a means of expression that suits her perfectly: designing with precious gems: a multicolored palette.

Liz has called Sandwich her home for almost thirty years. During that time, she has been inspired by a more subtle, serene muse: rocky beaches, weathered wood and lighthouses – Cape Cod. Her work reflects the wonderful character and landscape of the Cape and other parts of New England. She expresses the ability to capture and share the essence of a certain place, a certain town, or a certain body of water in a unique way – in her art – in her jewelry.

Her first successful collection, the “Cranberry designer collection,” created and crafted with 15 genuine garnets representing the 15 Cape Cod towns has been carried by several local retailers (notably Mrs. Mugs in east Sandwich) throughout the Cape since 2003. The foundation of “DbL”, Designs by Liz was born! Since then, Liz has designed the first “Town of Sandwich” bracelet, the Towns collection, Cape Days and Cape Nights collections and the famous “Miracle” bracelet. Her “Winter Solstice” bracelet enchanted customers for a limited run during the 2008 Holiday season.

Liz has traced her native roots through her “New York bracelet:” an electrifying example of the Bling Bling that is New York City.
Currently her new designs include: The Seasons of New England, the In-between bracelets and the most popular; Original Cape Cod Heart collection. These are sold exclusively at Mrs. Mugs. You will be able to view these here at the “What’s new” section and will be linked to the retail store Mrs. Mugs for more options. Enjoy!
